EMMA'S KNOCK-OFF SANDWICH

INGREDIENTS​
  • 4 thick slices of sourdough
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 granny smith apple, sliced thinly
  • 6 slices Jarlsberg cheese, rind removed
  • 2 tbsp butter
WHAT TO DO
  1. Spread each slice of bread on both sides with butter, then add a pinch of salt on the inside of the slices.
  2. Layer cheese, then apple, then cheese, and then top with another slice of bread.
  3. In a buttered pan on medium, toast the sandwich, turning to brown each side. Sometimes I pop a lid on it to get a bit more heat to help melt the cheese.
  4. Once the cheese is melted and the toast is brown, remove from the pan.
  5. Cut in half and eat immediately!
  6. YUM!
