LYNTON'S GOLDEN SYRUP DUMPLINGS
225 g self-raising flour
50 g unsalted butter
2 tbsp sugar
190 ml milk
100 g brown sugar
100 g golden syrup
200 ml water
60 g unsalted butter
Pinch of salt
Bulla Cooking Cream, to serve
Knead butter into flour and sugar. Add milk and knead until mix just comes together.
Divide mixture into tablespoon-sized balls and arrange in base of a camp oven.
Meanwhile make the syrup by combining all the remaining ingredients over heat.
Pour over syrup and bake in camp oven for 20-30 minutes or until top of dumplings are golden brown and crispy.
Serve with a generous pour of Bulla cream.
