In medium pot bring the beans and almonds to the boil in lightly salted water. boil rapidly for ten minutes.
Drain off the beans and almonds reserving a little fo the cooking water. add the mix to a food processor and process and high for 5-6 minutes. Adjust the consistency of the mixture with the reserved cooking liquid. Scrape the side of the processor from time to time. Season to taste with salt and lemon juice.
Serve on a dish with a dusting of sumac, extra virgin olive oil and crusty bread.
