EMMA'S CHOC ORANGE BROWNIE
This is like a Jaffa, but a brownie, but a Jaffa! So good!
1 whole orange, boiled in water for an hour, until it is soft
200 g chocolate
150 g butter
300 g sugar
1 tsp ginger
120 g flour
150 g hazelnuts, toasted and chopped
Pinch of salt
Boil the orange in water for an hour or until it is soft. Remove from the water and let cool.
In a double boiler, melt the chocolate and butter together.
Blend up the orange and then add to the chocolate mixture.
Whisk the eggs and sugar together until light and foamy.
Fold the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, a third at a time.
Fold in the ginger, flour, half the hazelnuts and a pinch of salt.
Pour into your prepared tin, top with the remaining hazelnuts and bake for 30 minutes or until the brownie is just set.
Cool in the tin and then slice once cool.
