EMMA'S CHARRED MISO BROCCOLI
2 heads of broccoli
1 tbsp miso
2 tsp brown rice vinegar
2 tsp sesame vinegar
1 clove garlic, crushed
oil, salt and pepper, to season
1 tbsp sesame seeds, to serve
Chop broccoli head in half and seam until bright green but still crisp. Remove from the steamer and let steam and dry a little.
Heat a griddle pan to smoking and season the pan with oil.
Place the broccoli, cut side down and begin to cook.
Meanwhile make your miso dressing by whisking together the miso paste, brown rice vinegar, sesame oil and garlic. Whisk in olive oil to make up a dressing consistency.
Whilst the broccoli is charring, brush over the miso
caramelise the sugars in the dressing and make extra delicious.
Once cooked to your liking, remove from the pan and serve with the remaining dressing and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
This is ridiculously good!
